My chinchilla found a cigarette and was eating it. Is he going to be ok?

My chinchilla found a cigarette and i caught him under the bed with the cigarette in his hands eating the tobacco and paper. I need to know if he will be okay or should i take him to the vet? It wasn't much I got it away from him really quick like.
