Can carbon monoxide enter through open windows?

Can carbon monoxide from cigarettes and car exhaust pipes enter my house if I keep my window open for a long period of time? Can it kill me if that was to happen? Especially, what if I fall asleep in a room with a open window, can I die in my sleep if exhaust fumes and cigarette smoke enter my house. My front yard is between 10 - 25 feet long.
